EVENT → MOTHER'S DAY
AKA: "LET'S GET SOME OF YOUR CRAP BACK" Mother's Day is a big day in some countries. Come Sunday, May 13th, it's typical to take your mother out to dinner, buy her some chocolates, and show her a grand old time. All of this is quite possible here in Holly Heights! But we all know what everyone really wants, and that's to start getting their stuff back. Mother's Day, being a gift giving holiday, is just the day to start the ball rolling. So does this mean that only the ladies will be getting stuff back? Not at all. For each house, a mother will be chosen. Be there two women, two men, or a man and a woman. For houses with men and women, the female spouse will automatically be eligable to receive an item. For same-sex households, of the two spouses a name was randomized and selected to be the "mother" for this event. Congrats, you lucky guys and gals! BUT. Just like most things here, there is a catch. Though this is a gift from your loving landowner, the "mothers" family has to help them get their belonging back. How? By showing their love for their fabulous new mamas.   In order for the chosen person to get their regainable item, at least one family member must wear one of these buttons. On the 13th, a basket will be placed on the stoop of every occupied house with buttons for the whole family (other than the mother), the mothers selected regain item, and clear instructions: if they want their regain to stay, the family has to work for it. Think of it as a team building exercise. No specified number of people with the button on (though it will be implied that all of them will have to, though it's ambiguously worded, but what else is new from this douche) nor the amount of time they must wear it has been placed on the note, but as a hint for the event log that will go up on the 13th, it will be 4 comments with the button on from one character. Even if all the housemates wear the buttons for a total of 4 comments, it has to be from one individual house member to qualify. Moms, get ready to beg and barter if you want your item. It's not so hard to just put on a button isn't it? But for some this might be an easy thing to do, while others would rather not submit to this task, so get your groveling shoes on! OKAY, BUT WHO ARE THE MOMS? Let's get to that list: 1400: Hokuto All children will get the "Mom" button, all spouses not listed will get the "Wife" button (whether they have a wife or not, the landlord wasn't going to go the extra customized mile). Those participating in the event will have three days to collect the four comments needed making the event run through the 16th, though threads can continue for as long as you'd like. If the four comments are not collected, the item then vanishes, though it can be asked for again during other events. MOMS: Please comment to the item thread to request the item you wish to be regained. Some may be denied for game purposes, but feel free to suggest others if so! EVERYONE ELSE: Feel free to ask questions in the appropriate thread and feel free to plot or whatever it is you wish on the rest of the post. THOSE IN SINGLE PERSON HOUSES: If no other people apply into your house and it's impossible for you to participate, then the landlord will just give you your item on the 16th and your name will be checked off. This is mostly due to requests, so please try to get your requested housemates to app in! Note that requests will expire after this app cycle, for those who have yet to have them fulfilled if others have not applied to fulfill them yet. A log post will go up the midnight on the start of Mothers Day, with comments for each house, mother's names in the subject lines to finalize the deal. See you then! |
