EVENT → THE LAST HURRAH OF SPRING
Here are some reminders and notes about the game in general:
➜ While I said that this month would be a more plot-oriented, game changing event, that has been pushed back to next month.
➜ Also my sick brain said this would be on the 12th, but that was a calendar error.
➜ PLEASE REMEMBER TO FILL OUT ALL PARTS OF THE TAKEN COMMENT FORM. Take this time to tab away and check to make sure your forms are complete, even those who were just recently accepted. If you left anything out, just respond with the appropriate information; there's not need to fill out a whole extra form. Remember: if you move houses or ask to move, it's your responsibility to update your information.
➜ This is becoming a problem recently, so please make sure that there is an easy way to get ahold of you if I need to. Please turn your private messages on. This is the simplest way to get a hold of anyone, especially since a lot of people forget to make sure their private plurks are non-friends only or don't leave a lot of other options for private contact if I need to talk to you. If for whatever reason this is not a viable option to you, provide an alternative way. If I can't contact you via PM, HMD, plurk, email, AIM or anything else, then there is a problem. Long story short: I shouldn't have to go through a whole list of accounts and contact information if I need to get in touch with you. Please check your settings in regards to this.

➜ For this event, there will be...a spring fair! To say goodbye to the spring and welcome summer in the coming month. This seems like a small affair, but it's up to you to make it bigger and better!
There are three major fair events and eligibility for your own booths:➜ Date auction/Speed dating will take place from the 15th-18th and will consist of three days of speed dating in numerous rounds and on the last day, a date auction. Speed dating only requires you to sign up your characters, as well as the date auction. On the day of these events, there will be a sign board next to the main fair stage with numbers tacked to it, each one holding a name and a number. To make sure this is as much like speed dating as possible threads will be limited to 20 tags. After the 20th tag in the thread, pretend that the SWITCH PARTNERS sound has blared. To make sure you get as much interesting information into a thread as possible and to help you out, cards with probing questions have been provided on each table. These can be used or disused. This does not apply to the date auction! Various tables will be set out Before anyone asks, yes it is possible to randomly take a number and pretend to be that person. There will be no forced participation, so make sure if you sign up a character, they'd be willing to suck it up and/or actually bid on dates. This only applies for those bidding, feel free to sign up those eligible to be bid on willy nilly without muse approval.
➜ A beauty pageant is set up for both men and women and will continue one from the 19th to the 21st. During the previous event, a sign-up sheet is placed on the notice board looking for contestants. You may sign up a character without their knowledge ICly, but not OOCly. Each day, a number of contestants will be eliminated. On day one, contestants must dress in their best attire. On day two the remaining contestants must showcase their bodies in the swimsuit category. On day three the contestants will showcase their inner beauty by answering a simple question. The winner will be announced afterwards. The winner will be decided by IC voting. What does the winner win? It's a mystery. But a crown is in fact involved. And maybe a cruise.
➜ The talent show will run from 22nd to the 25th. Each day, the stage will be set for certain acts. Again, a signup sheet has been up for this since the beginning of the fair so there is no forced participation, though you may sign up someone who is unawares ICly, not OOCly, just like with the beauty pageant. For the talent show, instruments will be provided, but all else will have to be supplied by the player.
➜ Those who would like to have their own booth may claim them on the first day of the fair and set them up as fast as possible. These booths can be for anything, whether it's a club, a business, or just selling stuff that you made. Anything. As useless or as meaningful as you'd like it to be. Once the booth has been claimed, you can make your own signage and do what you'd like with the booth. There are hundreds of booths, some with food and drinks, some with bootleg DVDs, and all that other good flea market type junk. These are run by no one in particular and are free to be looted. Basically the fair works like the shopping district: if you can dream it up, it's there somewhere.
➜ All events will come with an auditory host, instructing participants to do whatever their event dictates, such as "switch" for speed dating, "ready, set, go!" for the relay race, and etc. The beauty pageant will involve a post that will be put up the day of the event starting. Note that with the beauty pageant, once the post is up you may not sign up since that is when voting will begin.
➜ With beauty pageant voting, remember that you are voting ICly, not OOCly. If character X would ICly vote for character Y, even though you think character Z is prettier, character Y is who you should vote for.
➜ The exact thread and post mechanics will be discussed on the14th15th when a finalized list of all participants and what date they will be performing (for the talent show) is put up, as well as a more detailed layout of the fair grounds. For now, only concern yourself with signing up and plotting! As of right now, though, there will be a main post for normal booth shenanigans and an individual post for each mini event with threads for different days. Please do not comment after everything is closed.
➜ YOUR CHARACTER CAN PARTICIPATE IN ALL THREE OF THE MINI EVENTS.
