So this is kind of last minute, for which I apologize, but I was inspired by Koizumi's post to make a backdated (by a day) open Tanabata log with Japan! It'd have the typical wish writing, food, mingling, and disposing of the bamboo and decorations at the river. What I was wondering was would anyone be interested in having their characters help run the typical Japanese carnival games and stalls? (Goldfish catching, rifle/cork shooting for prizes, lottery, selling masks, etc...) (since some have volunteered to help with all of that now, if you'd like to jump in with anything else, such as other games, food stalls/tables, etc., please feel free!) Because Japan can't do all of that himself! he's an old man!

Otherwise, the log will go up by midnight EST with Japan doing what he can, if anyone's still interested in participating in general!


and since some people have volunteered on plurk too, here's who will be helping out so far!

Switzerland - rifle game + general set up
Lithuania - goldfish catching
Netherlands - lottery game
Athena Asamiya - O-mikuji (Japanese fortune telling) + tanzaku decorating
Natsuo Sagan - mask booth
Otoya Ittoki - face-painting booth + music (guitar)

food stall volunteers - Italy
Chibiusa Tsukino - sign painting, making tanzaku/blank wish paper

Switzerland will help with set up and maybe even the rifle game, though he would be the worst carney ever, really.

And maybe set up a face-painting booth with Ittoki or something, where he can play his guitar when there are no kids in line.

ah, I haven't found a good reference yet, but basically the game where you draw a number from a box or pull on a string connected to prizes? and the number or attached string determines the prize o/

I'm a few days late but... If there is anything that needs to have water and/or ice and/or mist, Yukihina can help with that, since he can control water in all its states. Like selling drinks or something, I have no idea what sort of stuff there is at Tanabata except the bamboo ant the wish-writing..
