EVENT ➜ A HERO'S JOURNEY

❛❛ HI ADVENTURER! ❜❜
I've got a fun challenge for you, yeehee! A test that's for the strong of heart! Do you think you can do it? Here it is! But first, do you accept the task of becoming a true adventurer, yeehee...?

> YES?

➜ As you may have guessed, this month's event is going to be RPG themed.

➜ This will be the second time Holly Heights will undergo a scenery change. Instead of the normal ticky tack houses, there will be a new map to adventure through, monsters to fight, mountains to climb...Here, why don't I give you some more useful information:
➜ In teams of 4 to 8 players, characters have the chance to explore various terrains, collecting useful items and battling monsters. Each team will be called a "guild". These will be ICly created.

➜ In each guild there must be at least 4 people but no more than 8. These will be made up of the following categories: Healer, Mage, Warrior, Guide are necessary to form a 4 person team. Any additional person must pick from the secondary categories: Thief, Merchant, Jester, Scholar. Each class has strengths and weaknesses and make up the parties to form a cohesive unit. Your character can have a class that suits them and this is recommended BUT they can pick a class regardless of their qualifications.

➜ A team cannot have overlapping member classes. For example, a team of five can't be the four main classes and then an additional warrior. If you have 6 team members (including 4 main units) which includes a Scholar and a Jester, another Jester may not join the party.

➜ There is only one pre-established guild: The Rogue Guild. This is a guild for those who would like to have a solo journey for either character or plotting purposes. A solo character must be of the four main categories of classes (Warrior, Mage, Healer, Guide).

➜ Each team starts out at the base camp with one horse, a quest description, and their original communicators. These will be the only modern convenience. Otherwise, it is a more old fashion RPG setting. All those with magical abilities will also receive a starter card to amp up their powers.

➜ So what's the goal of this whole thing exactly? Well, in order to have 100% game completion, you must collect all 4 special items dropped by strong monsters. Three of the four items can be gotten more than once. Another item is won only once. These items shall remain with the character throughout their stay in Holly Heights as proof of their participation and completion of the event.

➜ Curious? Because so far it seems like there's not a lot of information being given here, right? Since there's a lot when it comes to classes, items, and locations/monsters, they've been put on separate info pages:

CLASSES & ITEMS & MAP

➜ All previously regained powers are sealed. Each character has a small hut in the Home Base to call their own, which contains their regained items. They may take these with them on the journey. Items too big (typically vehicles and outside stored items) will not be along for the ride.

➜ In a guild, when a party member dies, they can be revived using healing items that are dropped from monsters or from merchants. If for some reason a whole guild dies, then they respawn back at home base. For those in the Rogue Guild, once they die they respawn on their own.

➜ When it comes to specifics, there's a lot you can get creative with. Such as: how does my character cast a spell? How does their outfit REALLY look? Are there other monsters I can fight? There is a lot of wiggle room when it comes to what you can do.

➜ There will be a log put up for general interactions based on regions, but it is recommended you make a log for your guild.

➜ This setting will not last forever or even the length of the same length the island plot did! But if the event is well received it may last through 4th wall. But wait...4th wall you say?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TWO YOU!

➜ Yes, Holly Heights will have been officially open two years on May 1st! In honour of this, starting May 1st and lasting the week, characters from outside the spectrum or appability of the game are welcome to play with us to celebrate the occasion. The details aren't finite or solid, but they will be as the day draws near. If you don't hear by the 28th when the event ends, then it will stay ending on the 28th. But you'll know by then, I swear.

➜ Also remember that post I told you would be done, like, two months ago? About a timeline of important HH events? Well, as you could see, it didn't come. That's because I figured out a more IC way to include it into the game. It will be done by May 1st this time to tie into the birthday of our beloved game.

BACK TO THE EVENT!

➜ In order to seal in your participation, have one member of your guild make a blank comment with the subject bar declaring the name of your guild. Then, the subsequent members will reply to that comment with their name and class in the subject header. The same applies to the Rogue Guild: just reply with your character and class in the subject bar and you're good to go. You may edit and delete your comment as many times as you want. Outside of the Rogue Guild, you must ask to be in a guild.

➜ If you'd like to be more detailed and keep track of your RPG shenanigans, then by all means, do so! There's no limit to how creative and detailed you can be.

➜ I'm sure this is probably disjointed in some way, so feel free to scream at me! The event starts on the 15th. As always, leave questions here!
