I think the symbolism and the shifting of power and flipping alignments got me. And I honestly didn't expect what would happen next. I like it when stories surprise me.
I haven't read the ending of JSA or Birds of Prey yet. I will generally read anything Gail Simone writes. There were too many series that ended abruptly for me at the advent of New 52. I was thoroughly upset to find Zatanna was cut short and left on a cliffhanger I will never know the answer to (though I did go back a few years and peruse the Seven Soldiers of Victory. Damn that's also a good macroseries).
Understandably so. I thought I'd fall out of comics with New52, but I ended up getting hooked on a few marvel series. And I am ridiculously in love with their live action movies (the ones by Marvel Studios only).
