Attempts to exercise the spirits will work BUT new ghosts will continuously come back to replace the old ones, making this sort of an up hill battle. Players with magic specifically for exorcisms can attempt this and succeed, but the ghosts will be unaffected by salt and other household items typically intended to get rid of them.
