This is a problem with my wording, more than anything. If your power goes out on the 17th, let's say, then it's out all that day, but restored on the next one. So if your houses fall on the 19th, that means they will be without power for that 24 hour period. Electricity being gone will only last a day, but contact lists being incorrect will last throughout the event.
