i'm glasses
surprise there's another strider in the house. that gives you a total of five. five striders. oh god how can you guys even stand all of this fake cool, i don't even get it.
anyway hi i'm mekky. it's been a while since i rped anywhere so i'm pretty rusty but i'm excited to bring you the auto-responder from homestuck. he is basically hal 9000 as a teenage boy inside a pair of glasses. this is one of the least confusing things in homestuck.
he's dirk's auto-responder, so he sounds a lot like him (up to a 9X.XXXXX% degree of accuracy blah blah blah). he was created when dirk was 13 and possesses all of his memories and personality up to that point, after which the two of them split off- dirk in his human way and AR as a self-improving and sentient computer program. he's had almost three years of development since, and while he seems identical to dirk at first glance, the differences become obvious rather quickly. he's a lot looser than dirk and more willing to joke around, but he takes dirk's tendency to have his fingers in every pie to an even higher level. it kind of comes with the territory when you're a super genius computer program.
he used to be stuck in dirk's glasses, but now he's human again, which should be sort of weird for him since his character is so very reliant now on being a nonhuman but we'll see there that goes! he looks identical to dirk, except for one difference: he's got red eyes. i'll get together some icons to represent that. i'll sometimes tag with icons of him as glasses so if you get a tag from a pair of sunglasses, that's why.
His typing is near-flawless in every way, without any sort of strange quirk but for this shade of red. permissions post for that is here.

i think it'll be fun to play out!! (also i like playing AR as forever alone because i'm just mean like that lol) since he never likes acknowledging a human side anyway, he'll just be like "NOPE, STILL A MACHINE AND ABOVE EVERYONE AND WHO NEEDS YOU ANYWAY" while wondering why he feels kind of weird about it.
