poolside | (no subject)

Hey folks! Winny's the name, and straggling intro posts are my game.

Unlike my character, whose game is... all the games. All the games. Meet Yuugi Mutou, that kid with the weird hair from that series where the fate of the world rests on the outcome of a series of card games. This Yuugi is from the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga (so he's played slightly fewer card games than his anime counterpart and experienced 100% less cracked out filler arcs) and his canon point is post-series. For those of you who don't know YGO very well or at all, this means he's recently lost his closest person, (who happened to be a 3000-year-old Egyptian spirit living inside Yuugi's head--it doesn't get much closer than that!) Anyway, no more Egyptian spirit. :<

Hopefully Yuugi will make lots of friends here because making friends is kind of his thing. He'll be living in house #1419!

I'm still getting things in order but there will soon be an HMD post and some character info in this journal, should anyone need them. o7 Also, feel free to add me on plurk (

I also hope you don't mind if Japan talks Duel Monsters with Yuugi sometime his citizens kinda... created the franchise....

Also OMG I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW EXCITED THIS MAKES ME. HELLO MOTHER COUNTRY. asdjfkl; So much yes. I would love for them to talk about Duel Monsters even if Yuugi will be a little confused because Duel Monsters totally got its start in America, right...?
