I think we should figure out which characters would want to be the captain and maybe what their qualifications are (or what they'll say they are...), so we can kind of stream-line the process and worry about getting overwhelmed with threading out everything during the day itself.

Also, any ideas of how the choosing should be done ICly?

WELL Kagura will claim herself as the captain, and throw a fit when no one accepts her because she's a brat and really doesn't have any skills as a normal human so... :'D

I agree on sorting out who would want to be captain and narrowing it down in qualifications.

I guess I imagined there would be some means of voting voting on voting after some sort of squabble because the group that has been brought together has both rather cooperative and... rowdy sorts. And I suppose it would have to be rather quick as so someone has some bit of power to direct early on.

Miu is going to try to name herself as captain. She'll use stories she's played out in RPGs and Mario Kart to back herself up without explicitly saying they're video games. Heads up on that.

I don't know how well that would go, considering he's so new and no one really knows him yet.

Qualification wise, he's planned and carried out dangerous military missions and has organised a group of superheroes to help defend NYC and defeat aliens.

Nazrin will actually put forth Murasa for captain because she was a captain. Of an actual ship. With a crew. And she's currently about the only person on this trip that she will trust and listen to.

That is even if Murasa doesn't nominate herself (which she might, IDK)

Provided that both muns are up for it, my vote goes towards some combination of Steve and Murasa for the job. Maybe one can be vice captain?

Mikey doesn't have CR with either of them, but will likely be swayed by the fact that they both are "captains" already, sort of. Additionally, their personalities will seem dependable to him.

In all seriousness, though, I'd rather have a captain who is going to be active. It seems like a pretty important role, and I don't know everyone's activity patterns.

Macau would volunteer on the basis of age and an ability to solve disputes really well (and he kind of IS an island so he has plenty of experience with the sea), but he'll try to work on soothing tempers regardless of whether he's captain or not.

Also he'll... likely vote for everyone so everyone feels included. Sorry, world.

Welp Murasa is def nominating herself in! I am actually out of the country rn, but thanks to the haze I have a lot more free time than i thought id have so I should be more or less available for this! But there may be a four day void while I'm in Thailand. what is my schedule gonna be like, ~it is a mystery~

I don't mind if she isn't voted but icly she'll be likely to refuse to listen to anyone else who is voted captain.

Luke wouldn't be nominating himself because ewwww power and he's only five so who would vote for him anyway—but he would likely end up voting for Murasa because of the whole experience thing unless someone else managed to sway him. o7

Iiii don't wanna be presumptuous, but since the log's up! It looks like Murasa wins majority vote? If that's fine, I'll toss up a post-voting comment to get people organized. I don't wanna get ahead of myself wehhehh. I'm also fine with waiting for more players to show up and toss in their vote here.

Alright, so with everyone waking up on the boat's deck, someone/people are bound to go around trying to explore. Aside from discovering the under floors, someone has to discover the Captain's Log in order to even begin the mission. So anyone up for volunteering to find it in general?

Another development, which might be interesting is...there's no rule that someone couldn't keep it to themselves, meaning they can either imply the missions to the crew themselves or just hide it from everyone all together. Just food for thought...

The thought of someone keeping the Captain's Log to themselves is really interesting, and I'd be 100% okay with anyone having their character do that. It could make for good conflict.

Tyr himself wouldn't horde the log, but he does tend to look around a lot as it is. Most of it will probably just be looking at everything and making sure nothing looks like it's prone to fall apart, especially when he realizes there aren't any lifeboats as far as he can tell. (That said, he's from a fantasy series so modern ships are probably beyond him. But he'll try!)

hiruma may be... very plausible. for the person who could steal the captain's log, if that's something people were interested in! if enough people got after him for it, he'd release it, or give out details. especially if people were to fight over it.

I hate to be a negative Nancy, but I'd really like it if the Captain's Log wasn't kept for themselves. That seems kind of like a way to make parts of the event more exclusive to some players than others. It should be found by someone who will share it.

I guess I'd nominate Miu for that, because she'd share it with everyone as she tried to figure stuff out about it.

If anyone is interested in having their characters be pushed over the edge/cause chaos aboard the ship later on but need a little help to get there please feel free to message me/Izaya for plotting.

He'll be taking a backseat/observation role (hito rabu!) for the majority of this due to the enjoyment he'll get out of watching everyone try to pull together but he is always interested in helping other people get killed or experience strong emotions.

I realize it may be early to mention this since they are just now arriving however Izaya works in steps and selecting/observing his humans in their natural habitat before acting is the first one and if we don't have CR yet he'll have to find a way to weasel in there to gain trust so to speak.
