MAIN EVENT ➜ CHECKIN' IT TWICE
But. Instead of traditional gifts and nasty coal in your stocking, there will be a different type of present for you this year.
➜ On the 13th, along with your possible StuCo letter and Secret Santa card, you will receive a little coloured box! Depending on the box, it will contain a gift but...opening the box there won't be anything in there. Because the gift is definitely not tangible.
➜ If you sign up for them, your character can receive both a gift and/or a loss. The possible gifts and losses are down below:➜ The gift of gaiety will be given to a couple and will secure their love with forever taut heartstrings. In non crappy purple prose speak: this gift will make two people fall in sick, nasty, gross love with each other. This will involve two people so in order to sign up, one person must sign up and the other must confirm by replying to that comment. NOTE: Having people suddenly speak Shakespearean and suddenly fall into each others arms might be temping, but please remember that this only makes emotions rise and does not change the personality, so to speak, of the recipients. So however your character acts in love, that will be what happens. A PINK BOX.
➜ The gift of communication undoes the spell that makes sure characters understand each other. Suddenly, your character will revert to their mother tongue, or perhaps a whole different language altogether! This only works one way, however, to add to the frustration: they can understand everyone, but no one can understand them! Writing and typing will also not work for these people. Have fun reverting to hand signs and charades for a week plus. A BLUE BOX.
➜ The gift of remembrance will give your character a chance to participate again in an applicable past event. For example, your character might receive a robot baby to care for or mode altering Valentine's roses. Some events won't count (such as community meal events, the horrible bird event, the snow ball war) since they were more communal events and not something tangible to give one person. You may pick an event from the event tag and it won't fly, then I will tell you! Once you respond with your event, I will give you the need to know information, such as choosing the Valentine's rose event, I will randomize a rose set for you. Choosing the baby event, I will randomize a baby name and gender for you. Get the picture? NOTE:If you're like to go through the body swap, like the gift of gaiety, must involve two people and a confirmation. Once you've opened your gift box, your mailbox will again be filled with what the event entailed you having. A GREEN BOX.
➜ The loss of sense is what it says on the tin. One sense will be taken from your character, whether sight or hearing or touch or taste or feeling. It will only be one, not two or more. Unlike how characters who are blind or disabled in this area have special accommodations when it comes to their house or devices, this will not happen for event victims. A RED BOX.
➜ The loss of self will change one thing about your character. Maybe they wake up and their hair is totally different. Their personality. Their eyes. You can be very creative with this one! Perhaps their gender/sex is different, but if you chose this one, please do so sensitively. A PURPLE BOX.
➜ The loss of memory effects the memory of one person and can be in relation to multiple people, one person, or a situation in general. They may also forget who they are if you so choose! Forgetting skills is also possible. Forgetting multiple options is completely okay (such as forgetting they knew Character X and also forgetting how to cook). A YELLOW BOX.
➜ You may sign up for both a gift and a loss but do not have to and only pick one or the other. You may not, though, sign up for two gifts and two losses. So, for example, you may sign up for the gift of communication and the loss of memory, but you may not sign up for the loss of memory AND loss of sense. If you are part of the duo in either the remembrance or gaiety gift/loss, then you may only sign up for one.
➜ Some take effect immediately upon opening the box such as: the loss of memory, gift of remembrance, gift of gaiety. The other three gifts/losses will take effect the next day.
➜ You have one week to choose and sign up! After the 17th sign ups will close. The event and the effects last through the 24th, so on Christmas they will disappear!
➜ As always, any possible questions go here! Writing up three different event posts, I'm sure I left something out/made something too confusing.

QUESTIONS

To be more specific, I'd like to have Aichi here subject to either loss of self/memory, regaining the particular personality/way of acting he had during a period of season 1. But since I'm so new to the game still, I'd rather not deal with the 'where am I/who are you people' all over again, so I want him to remember his time in Holly Heights so far.
So I'm not sure if this counts as 'self' or 'memory'...

For the 'Gift of Remembrance', I could potentially have him receive a bunch of white roses
hahaha like heck I'd give him a different colourand unintentionally pass along their effects to whoever he gives each flower, right? And then...For something like Loss of Self, could it be as simple as 'suddenly hair growing upward'? Also, could you do more than just change hair? (like eye colour changes with it, or similar?)

Re: QUESTIONS

1. If someone is going with a loss of memory, could they choose to lose a part of a memory?
For example, I am considering having Simon forget his years in prison, but I do want him to remember the basic gist of events in his canon, which is included in that time. Could the memory be warped more so he recalls the event, but not the fact that he was a convict at the time?
If it helps what I'm thinking of would be something like this (AA5 spoilers) I want him to be more like what he was before seven years in prison, but also not recall that Fulbright isn't the real Fulbright, but still recall that they worked together. However, with Fulbright's role being more of guard and handler for the convicted murderer, that's a bit tricky.
2. I'm a it confused about the wording of "If you are part of the duo in either the remembrance or gaiety gift/loss, then you may only sign up for one." I get that means if you sign up for the gift of gaiety you can't have a loss, but the remembrance doesn't seem to require a duo. So can you only not sign up for a loss if you pick something like the body swap, or just in general if you pick remembrance? Or another way to put it, is the only way someone can sign up for a gift and a loss would be if they sign up for communication and any loss?

So, for the gift of gaiety both participants can only have that gift and no loss?
And in addition to that, there can't be a combination of gaiety and loss of memory?

Okay, so I signed up for memory loss and Edgeworth will be losing his ability to tie cravats, right? Is it possible to make it so that anyone who tries to tie his cravat for him also fails?
