EVENT ➜ VIRTUAL REALITY
➜ I've been waiting for this shit for a year and a half.
And this is late because I had to bake a cake. Oops. It was delicious if that makes you feel better.
➜ Thanks to our lovely Bea and her lovely Quistis, there is a new location in Holly Heights. Much like it says on the tin, the training center (added to the post but the thread is linked for ease of access) is a sort of gateway into another, possibly unfamiliar world that allows you to hone your skills. There are various floors with various terrains and areas to maneuver around. One might be very forest lake, complete with mosses, animals, and caves. Another might be very mountainous. The size is very misleading considering the building size but is still contained to a reasonable mock size.
Well, the Landlord has decided to take that and fuck with it a little. A lot.
➜ On the 15th, groups will be entered into the Training Center, numbers ranging from four to eight. On the first day, everything will be very like the Training Center as it's displayed on the tin.
The next day, that will definitely change.
➜ In varying stages and days, teams will experience various types of worlds and universes. Much like how, if you remember, Holly Heights became an island with island attributes for a summer, that will happen in these varying floors. The abnormality is that a few days or stages may be something that some here are familiar with.
➜ During some stages, the world may be a generic world (ie a mer-world under the sea with no really canon or universe attachment) while one day might be a very specific world/universe (ie Pokemon, take some hints from these parenthesis...es??).
➜ While these things may seem fine and dandy to just explore for no reason, each day/stage will have a corresponding mission. For example, one stage may require you to locate an item or defeat a certain amount of enemies. It is very dependent on the world/universe that teams enter.
➜ The long and short of the mechanics is teams will enter on the 15th at 9AM and exit at 9PM the same day. They will be given their mission to them at the start and will have the time allotted to complete it (and be told as such). At both 9AM and 9PM it will almost be as if they're been given anesthetic and will show up unawares of how they got there or how they got back home at the end of the day. In the event that they complete the mission, they will receive a letter. This will be their reward.
➜ Each team will have a possibly different and varied mission, terrain type, but never a different world. In the example of Merpeople, one team might be asked to find a variety of pearls in a coral reef type setting. Another team might be asked to destroy a variety of water monsters in a marshy setting. Get it? Each team will have their own floor so there will be no teams that encroach upon each other (unless a mission states otherwise).
➜ A log will be put up on the 15th with starter threads for each day with universe information. To create a team and stay informed about your teams various missions and, one person must put up a starter thread on this post with the teams designated name (to later be ICly decided) and teammates may comment to it at a pace that they wish. Every day, I will post your specific mission information. Each starter thread will be posted at ~9AM (times negotiable since sometime shit happens) and the mission details should be given a bit after those go up. If your team comes in late (as in the initial starter comment), I'll give you as much information as you've missed grouped together and we'll go from there. Also, everyone will receive a copy of the reward letter in their mission comment so no one misses out on any game information, even if their team fails to complete the mission. Whether they do or not is up to you all and your planning plotting skills.
➜ Three random teams will have threads made by me; feel free to add or remove your characters at will.
➜ For the first day, you can plan for one of the already in place terrains and monsters to be part of the mission involved. After that, you'll find out as the missions and starts arrive. This event will use your character and detail creating skills, so feel free to be creative where you can be.
➜ Questions can be asked here; I likely made something confusing or left something out since I'm rushing.
