EVENT → FATHER'S DAY
EVERY GAME NEEDS AN OBLIGATORY MOOD CHANGE EVENT Sunday, June 17th is a day for the men in your life, namely the ones whose seeds have blossomed into the outstanding individual that is you. Except here in Holly Heights,it's incredibly unlikely that your dad is actually your dad, but who's counting? Everyone knows Father's Day is an excuse to eat, ignore your mother, and go fishing or whatever it is men folk do. But like every holiday, you have to get your dad a gift, and no one really knows exactly how dad's think or what they want or why they even need a gift in the first place. Luckily, everyone's favourite homeowner has you covered.  Every new dad needs a new tie. That's right; for every dad around town, the infamous lessor has gotten them a tie, hand picked, and placed it gently in their mailboxes come the morning of the 17th. Don't worry about getting your dad's a thought While you may take liberty with the style and pattern of the tie, each character will get a tie that is predominately one of the following colours: red, blue, green, and yellow. Pinned to the front of each tie is a note stating what should be pretty obvious at this point; put the tie on, you get a gift. The catch this time, unfortunately, is that depending on the luck of the draw and the colour of the tie your character will receive, their mood and emotional fluctuation will change considerably. Thank goodness your character doesn't know that, or they might want to put them on even less! The landlord is a pretty hackneyed guy thus far, so you can probably guess what each colour means, but here it is broken down for you anyway, as well as who is receiving what colour. RED: For some reason you are just so gosh darn enamored with everything. I don't know you and I'm not crazy, but here's my number so please, please date me. Receivers: Phil, Elliot, Troy, Dexter, Graham, Lithuania, Nathan, Akihiko, America, Xerxes, Remilia, Shizuo, James, Mithos, Dr. Crane BLUE: You have never wanted to curl up and sob more than this very moment. Everyone needs a little ice cream and bad television break. Stock up on Kleenex. Receivers: Alaric, Ryuichi, Steve, Akio, Redglare, Tyler, Mozart, Setsuna, Matt, Korea, Tifa, Taiga, Enkidu, Pepper, North Italy GREEN: Punching a wall or smashing your car into something sounds really appealing right now. Someone needs a hug, but it might not be wise considering how fucking furious you are at absolutely god damn everything. Receivers: Mokou, Bruce Wayne, DG, Shirou, Claude, Poland, Rory, Hong Kong, Tieria, Natsuki, Mimio, Dean, Sweden YELLOW: Hugging everyone and possibly baking don't sound like bad ideas, today. It takes more muscles to frown than to smile, so enjoy a rest from your facial workout. Receivers: Sabitsuki, Ethan, Waka, Mako, Afuro, Badou, Bo, Charles, Sam, Japan, Hisao, S. Italy, Athrun, Miles, Fandral Note that you can play with this a little. Personalities don't have to do a 180 in order to meet the criteria! You can also fluctuate the severity of the condition and not make it so extreme (for example green can mean irritation or red can just mean being a little more flirtatious than normal). So does this mean that only the men will be getting stuff back? Not at all. For each house, a father will be chosen. Be there two women, two men, or a man and a woman. For houses with men and women, the male spouse will automatically be eligable to receive an item. For same-sex households, of the two spouses a name was randomized and selected to be the "father" for this event. Congrats, you lucky guys and gals! NOTE THAT IF YOU WERE A MOTHER LAST ROUND, UNLESS YOU'RE IN A SINGLE PERSON HOUSEHOLD, YOU WON'T BE ELIGIBLE TO BE A FATHER. Those participating in the event, no matter how long they decide to keep the tie on, will have effects lasting four days, making the event run from the 17th through the 20th, though threads can continue for as long as you'd like. As long as the tie is put on once, the effect will run its course and the item requested will be received on the 21st. DADS: Please comment to the item thread to request the item you wish to be regained. Some may be denied for game purposes, but feel free to suggest others if so! EVERYONE ELSE: Feel free to ask questions in the appropriate thread and feel free to plot or whatever it is you wish on the rest of the post. This event will not run on a log, but on separate posts made by participating characters. This event is completely optional and it's not necessary for your character to wear their tie at all, unless they want to receive a certain something from home. ALSO: Expect to see another one of these in a few days containing Midsummer information. |
