EVENT ➜ TOSS UP

This month will feature two week long mini events instead of one long event. Both are OOC sign up events that are optional. You can take part in one, the other, both, or neither. One will have a more silly air while the other is more serious (??? please). Look below for information and instructions!

[ INSERT BARNEY THEME SONG ]
The first event will be a seven day long Friendship Carnival. While OOCly you choose whether or not your character gets to participate, ICly they will have to participate in events in order to leave the carnival grounds. Each day will produce a different event geared towards being paired up or in small groups to promote relationship growth and friendship development.

➜ Day 1: Scavenger Hunt | Players will join in groups to search Holly Heights for a predetermined list of items. Finding all items will net a prize.

➜ Day 2: Trust Fall Day | A lax day, players will complete trust fall exercises with multiple partners.

➜ Day 3: Hide and Seek | A large game of hide and seek with multiple teams.

➜ Day 4: Team Sports Day | Players will be divided into multiple teams and made to play various sports.

➜ Day 5: Three-Legged Race | Teams of two will be tied together at the leg, running to locations as described in a list.

➜ Day 6: Speed Friending | Much like speed dating, players will have a certain number of time to talk to different contestants before switching to someone else.

➜ Day 7: Friendship Auction | At the end of the carnival, friendship dates will be bid on based on the person up for auction.

Above are the events to take place on each of the seven days with small blurbs about the basic concept behind each event.

To make the experience more random and to build more evenly spread CR, sign ups will be for each day BUT the people that you'll be interacting with will be revealed each day as the event takes place. For instance, you won't know who your character is speed-rounding with on the 6th day until that event will be posted on the log community the day it's supposed to happen. You WILL be paired or grouped with characters you've never interacted with before, and you WILL be grouped and paired with people you do know.

You CAN request NOT to be paired with certain people for comfortability reasons (and this can be done via the mod account messaging system), but you CANNOT request to be paired or grouped WITH people.

You also won't know concrete details or mechanics of each event day until the post goes up, and the detailed location information will be placed on the log. Know that the location will be a park in the Housing Gate, and other spectators are welcome to come, even if they didn't sign up, but they cannot participate in games or activities related to the Friendship Carnival.

[ INSERT PSYCHO SHOWER SCENE MUSIC ]
This event will be a little bit of black comedy mixed in with an event much like the Landlord house event done last year. Sign ups will involve teams of players choosing and must consist of at least 4 players, but no more than 6.

During this mini event, which will have it's own more detailed post later, teams will be transported to a seemingly inescapable house. Inside the house, a crime has been committed. Over seven days, characters will have to use hints and riddles to figure out who committed the crime. Think of it as a seven day long game of Clue, both in terms of the crime and the motive. Hint: no players will die and nothing will be that gory. It's more like a fun mystery theater event than something like we did two Halloweens ago if you were around.

Team sign ups can be done here. Someone needs to start a team thread ONLY WHEN they know they have four people they can be on a team with. Afterwards, you WILL be capped at six characters.

Characters who participate WILL be stuck in the house for the duration of the seven days, thus not able to participate in outside HH activities unless stated otherwise in an event log thread. Know this before signing up.
