Hello all, my name's Abby and I'm new. I'm here with this adorable precocious dumpling named Rin Kobayashi, from late 80s early 90s manga series and OAV Please Save My Earth.



I mean, he was kind of a precocious dumpling, that is, until he got the memories of an adult super-powerful alien psychic war orphan and fell off the deep end.



Rin has been hospitalized for the last few weeks after a failed attempt to kill two adults and one teenager with his crazy psychic powers. He kept teleporting around and reopening his wounds, which I guess won't be a problem now, but hey, who wants to find a bleeding child in a hospital gown on the front lawn of 1475? He definitely needs someone to take care of him and possibly get him to a clinic. Maybe his dad, Other Rin? Sister? I'm open to anyone, really.

He's fresh from running away from the hospital after his mother screamed at him that he wasn't her son anymore. (Mothers always know.) His wounds are bad, in canon, but here they should be all right. He should still go to the hospital, and is still probably bleeding.

He's pretty good at pretending he's normal, but it's gonna hit him hard that he doesn't have psychic powers anymore. Poor baby. (hee hee hee) Also, add another Rin to the Rin tally.

Still it's so great to see! I'm happy you got in, I was excited to see Rin when I checked the app page. I haven't seen Please Save My Earth in so long but I remember adoring it. Who knows, you might get lucky as far as cononmates go. Time will tell.

Haha! Well, don't let me spoil you. This Rin is taken from just AFTER the last bit of the OAV, going along the manga's storyline. After the big fight at the shrine, Rin is in the hospital for a while before shit hits the fan and then he disappears from his real life for a while and just S'es around a bit.

There are a few things they left out of the OAV but I probably won't go too far into that, anyway. I doubt it will come up between Gon and Rin, anyway.

I don't know much about HxH except character's names, so I look forward to bouncing off you!!!

I don't mind spoils but I appreciate it all the same. Knowing how things usually go with me, I'll probably end up reading the manga and rewatching the serise again. Always happens when I see new/old chars I like.

I was actually planning to run a stream at some point, tho tbh the subs for PSME are piss poor in a lot of ways. I am really really fiddly about subs, because I work as a Japanese translator. But yeah, I'll probably post it in the OOC comm once I get enough people interested since it's so out of print.

It is definitely 8000 years out of print. And there is no fandom and therefore no reason for Viz to ever reprint it. Or pick up the sequel. So I can translate it. WEEPS.
