Hey Holly Heights! I'm Schist and I'm bringing in one orange sweater loving, mystery solving science genius girl: Velma Dinkley from the Scooby Doo live action movies. She can be awkward, severely literal, and is absolutely terrified of romantic interaction, but otherwise, she's a sweetheart and generally gets along with most people.

I will be setting up a permissions post in her journal for possible fourth walling since she's quite well versed in many canons that are considered nerdy. This usually just applies to comic books and a few movies, but I figured I'd cover my bases. She would never betray even the thought that someone might be fictional (she'll probably justify it with a sci-fi explanation anyways). While I'm on the topic of fourth walling, let it be known that I'm perfectly fine with people recognizing Velma as a member of Mystery Inc., but not as a fictional character.

It's best to contact me on Plurk under the same username (Schist) for plotting or just chatting about things! I tend to be a slow tagger, but I've heard many good things about the backtag friendliness of Holly Heights.

Mizuki is from Hana Kimi and is disguised as a boy. Hiyori is a from Hiyokoi and really short. They're both from romance based series. /shrugs

Our generation had the best cartoons I feel. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Scooby Doo, Captain Planet... etc.

Velma's petite too (I take her relative height from the classic tv show instead of Linda's height), so maybe they could run into each other shopping? Not that Velma shops much, but she might need more than one set of clothes... One would hope.

I play her in the range of 5' but I've read anywhere from 4'11' to 5' so... And lol the clothes, well if they aren't orange or maroon she's likely going shopping. Her and that damn color scheme.

I've only heard of Lollipop Chainsaw but oh man I adore Bruce and Steve! Squeeing a bit, yes. ;o; Also, ngl I'm super excited that the new movie was filmed in Pittsburgh and will be featuring the Steelers. >_>;

My research tells me that it can occasionally happen as a result of tripping during the act of being chased, or during instances of insomnia. Otherwise, the sweaters pill.

Speaking of sweaters, someone needs to finally talk a fashion sense into that girl.

lollipop chainsaw is fun i would recommend it. /bias. and mutual squeeing tbh. i'm excited for the scenes they filmed in new york because they called in a ton of cops and firemen to act out the mob fight. + being excited for everything ever i'm just excited for it.

What console is it on? If it's the 360 I might have to look into it, as long as I can manage playing it prior to October because RE6 and AC3 will totally be consuming me then.

Both cities (I've never been to NY yet though) are exceedingly beautiful and remind me of what I picture Gotham to look and feel like. The fact that Pittsburgh has all the bridges and is a steel town originally helps.

it iiiis on the 360! it's very fun. the overall game is pretty short but the replayability is high and it's just wacky. re6 is just going to consume us alllll. 5 was a bit of a let down-- still fun though. 6 looks promising. i need me some sherry.

pittsburgh does have a very nice look for it. i think gotham is supposed to be based on like ~a new york a night~ but the architecture and stuff and the steeel pittsburgh has good looks. the combo should be gorgeous.

I loved RE5, but I'm biased because I played as Sheva with a friend co-op my first play through. Not to mention I've played her for almost a year now and she's earned herself a place securely in my heart. I'm excited for Sherry and all the new characters! Older Leon though... /fans self.

I can't wait to see that movie! Pittsburgh's architecture is love. Pittsburgh's (and I'm assuming NY's) winters are not. This is why I live in the Southern half of the US.

Though, she can rock a mean frisbee throw... Uh yeah. XD

She'd be so insecure in everything not orange/maroon, even if Sharpay pulls a She's All That with her and makes her all smexy.

ngl I debated bringing her here but decided to test the waters with Velma first. And I hear you on Wesker. I'm a geologist, so that whole volcano battle had me sideeying all over the place. Not to mention Chris manhandling a boulder. >_>;

I can only imagine. I almost went to school in Pittsburgh, but decided that rowing in the winter in the wee hours of the morning didn't sound like my idea of a joyful activity.

OMG that would be adorable, as long as he doesn't over throw it? He has her beat physically after all.

I like the colors together myself, but it might be my love of Velma. :|a That and I think that the orange should be the accent color instead of maroon. I am special.

I don't know if you're familiar with him or not but basically he is a somewhat antisocial bookworm who likes to think a lot and be snarky. Antisocial bookworm you say? I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing in results to actually getting them to interact. It'll take her a bit to accept the marriage situation, but then she'll probably treat it as a valid thing, similar to an arranged marriage.

The science and logic sorts are always the hardest to settle in, especially when they constantly try to tear the premise apart at the seams. But they're the most fun to play. c:

Velma says he shouldn't complain about boredom if he's not going to actively do anything. I think I might have her work on fixing up her house to make it more green if possible. Like, rain catching tanks, maybe a garden, lol solar panels (that's a way later idea). As much as she likes to read and stuff, she's going to get bored quickly. Besides, she might offer to feed him for the physical labor.

They are, but once they're in it's much fun. It's just the slow process getting there.

The interesting things should come to him, not the other way around. /smacked. Are they going to paint the house green, too? Or bright orange? Something darker to get out of washing them as often or lighter to make more efficient use of lighting? Things to consider, going-green lady.
