is it because all left socks are possessed by demonic things that need to be purified with fire and salt, and you're a demon sock hunter looking for your long lost mentor turned demon to do what you failed years ago and kill him??? or is it because there's a special key somewhere in one of these socks that will grant you a wish but it could be any left sock so you're stealing the left socks to find that one sock? or maybe you went through a traumatic experience involving socks and laundry detergent so now you rescue socks from dangerous(-desu) people and have your own sock orphanage??
