Yello, Holly Heights. I'm Char and to you, today, I bring this, Diego Brando from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, part 7: Steel Ball Run.

Steel Ball Run is about an alternate universe, in 1890, where a bunch of people with music-related names participate in a horse race, the Steel Ball Run, (though one guy runs) to win a bunch of money, except they're secretly actually collecting the corpse parts of a Saint who may or may not be Jesus Christ himself. Also, these corpse parts give them super powers.

Long story short, Diego's part in this is a genius horse jockey, taking a sad, unfortunate backstory to become Batman a prideful, ruthless competitor, who sometimes isn't so bad, but those times are few and far between. He plots to get himself ahead in whatever way he can and enjoys the finer things in life, all the while keeping a cultured and 'classy' demeanor.

He'll be the new man of the house in #1480, with Reki, Kanji, and Minako. I apologize in advance, Diego's a bit new to this modern world. Please hold as he discovers Starbucks.

REAL TALK I am happy that Koyasu is confirmed to be voicing Diego as well, even if I couldn't tell at first. I'm glad someone told me not to scroll through the Part 7 ending in Story Mode, otherwise I would have missed hearing it. The fact that he can make all three different Dios sound distinct is pretty amazing.

and i'm assuming you heard they're gonna rebroadcast parts 1 & 2, and the implication therein is that part 3 will follow after that's done

YEP the voiced segment covers the Alternate Diego summoning his version of The World and whatnot, and while it was difficult to tell at first, it became clear as he went on that it was Koyasu voicing him, and in a way distinctly different from how he voices PBDio and SCDio, which are even distinctly different from one another as well.

If David Production does part 3, I'll be more than happy, BUT from what I understand, they lost a lot of potential budget for it on Hyperdimension Neptunia (really, guys, did you seriously expect an obscure fanservice anime to make any money) so the rebroadcast will hopefully drive up DVD/Bluray sales and THEN we can have Stardust Crusaders.

aaaaa DBFAU you horrible person you (I love the vast differences between every single version of dio, even down to diego and audiego) and yeah, it makes a lot of sense that they sound distinctly different.

ALSO by the looks of it, since Kamen Rider Gaim is covered (though i'm not sure about the next sentai season) but AoT will be wrapping up around then, too, so Kobayashi will be (HOPEFULLY) free to do part 3

NO BUT REAL TALK

there are a number of Very Important characters that have yet to show up in ASB in any way (as menu characters or campaign assists) that give us a clue that they will be DLC. Diego, Lisa Lisa, Hot Pants, Trish, Risotto, Vanilla Ice, and a few others come to mind as being largely missing from the game so far.

Yeah it seems like some casts have like. a huge amount of the characters that are supposed to be there?/that you would think would be there but then others don't, so. I've not had a look at the roster screen either, but those can always shoot up in huge ways in games

but then that will get rid of my favorite fandom joke that is WHERE IN ASB IS DIEGO

There's enough space for an additional 18 character slots, last I glanced, with five of those already confirmed being taken (BowieKira, Fatty, Iggy, Fugo, and Baoh). We can generally assume if a character is a menu guide or shows up as an assist in Campaign Mode, they probably won't be playable (but then people are reporting that Akira shows up to assist in Campaign in spite of being playable), so that cuts a few options (pretty disappointed that Dire, Stroheim, Ringo, and Ghiaccio aren't gonna be playable) but like I said, a whole bunch of people that are otherwise big names haven't shown up in any fashion yet.
