Hey everybody! I'm coming to you with a PLOTTING POST! Kind of. If the modly types don't mind, that is! So, if you could, please please please stop for a moment and give this a look! Chances are, at the very least for free food, your character will be interested!
So, Shouichi here is something of a Super Chef, and it's coming to his attention that a lot of people aren't the best cooks, or maybe they are, but they aren't accustomed to cooking with the tools of this century. Either way, he's going to be starting WEEKLY COOKING CLASSES! One day a week, he'll gather up anyone who's interested, they'll all get together, and he'll try to get some of his Cooking Spirit into them! Or something.
Now, here are some things--!!
1.) Depending on whether or not his restaurant gets approved, it'll be taking place there or... somewhere! The reason I'm not posting ICly looking for people signing up is precisely 'cause I don't know if I've got a place for him to work/host these at yet.
2.) I'm aiming for the lessons to be on Saturdays, since weekends should be easy for everyone. From what I've seen, we're all backtagging friendly in this game, so even if they're on Saturdays, no need to rush or manage schedules for it or anything - plus, since they'd be weekly, there's always next week!
2.5.) Rather than once a week though, since this would get old fast, the alternative would be to having this once a month - something we could all mark on our calendars and look forward to - but, since logically once a month prolly might not help ICly, assume it happens once a week instead! Since characters aren't paying for this or anything, it's not like it'd be mandatory to always go or anything, so yeah.
3.) The way I'd like to set them up would be in the form of giant mingle posts! I would post, but I wouldn't reply to everyone necessarily either - I would make a big, general post in the log community with Shouichi giving instructions, ingredients, and what the end goal is, and cut you guys loose! Students could reply to the post, to each other, and have a good time. People (customers, if I'm allowed the restaurant) would be allowed to come in and taste test, and it could generally be a weekly food party kind of thing. And Shouichi would be there too, giving advice and hopping around from thread to thread too! But I'm hoping this will be a big thing, if it can take off, so who knows if I could hit up Every Single Person on Every Single Post. XD
4.) Naturally, if events/holidays interfere, or if I'm on hiatus (I've got one coming up in like three weeks as it happens), there wouldn't be lessons that week. And we could do this every other week or something too if every single week seems like a bit much!
5.) Foods will be different every week! Pizza, cake, pasta, whatever we/I/whoever thinks of! Be warned Shouichi is an uber gardener and loves his veggies though, so if characters want to complain at the abundance of veggies at him, go for it.
6.) You do NOT need to sign up on this post, though if you want to say you'd be interested, that's fine! As soon as I get word on the restaurant, I'll be posting ICly, and I'd prefer (if possible) to get all sign-ups there if I can! I understand if that's too much to ask, though.
Aaaand that about wraps it up! Comments? Questions? Suggestions? Please, shoot, I've never done this kind of thing before, so anything you want to add, toss my way! I'm really excited to give it a try and I hope you guys will join me!
