BLIZZARD

In a spur of mischief, Yukihina will cause a blizzard in all of Holly Heights. It will be sudden and anyone who wants to gets a free taste of what it's like to fly. They might not like the landing, though. Either way, it's going to last all night long and when it ends, the knee-deep snow is going to stay for just a while, and then melt and cause a small flood for a couple hours.

This will all take place from February 5th and February 6th.

Say your thanks to the original cause of the idea, Kuroo. Because Yukihina will give him all the credit when those who figure out that he's the culprit asks.

ICE SCULPTING PAGEANT CONTEST

During February, people will see flyers put up around town. They'll also get them in their mailbox. And maybe on their front door, if you're (un?)lucky.

What these flyers will tell everyone is that an ice sculpting contest will be held on February 29th at Holly Heights Ice Rink.

➜ They can sign up in any combination of one through three people, and if anyone tries to squirrel in a fourth or a fith or any more members, they'll be considered cheats.

➜ ICly, characters sign up through Yukihina, either by shooting him a message, or chucking a snowball in his face by talking to him face to face. Characters don't have to sign themselves up either, they can be signed up by someone else and get a surprise when they get dragged out on their date or by whichever kind of way and people who sign them up decide to drag them along by.

➜ People can make anything they want, so if your character wants to make a big turd? Go ahead. All ice blocks will be square, 2m by 2m, but if they want any particular measurements, they can tell Yukihina.

➜ They will have two hours to create their masterpieces, and if they're not done when the bell rings? Sucks for them, but their half-finished work will be up for harsh judgment.

➜ All cheaters gets to dangle from an ice pole courtesy of the organizer. And don't think he won't notice; ice is his territory. But they will also be required to help with the cleaning after the contest is done and over.

➜ There will be five judges, consisting of two guest judges (Landy & Tessa) and three player characters. It's a first come first served thing. Judges are not allowed to enter the competition.

➜ Characters are also free to volunteer, and then they will be in charge of food, drinks, cleaning (both after and during the contest), and any eventual medical assisstance. Volunteers may participate in the contest.

➜ There will be three prizes, one for first place, one for second, and one for third.

➜ All sign-ups have the deadline of the 25th, so you have some time to decide on groups and works.

➜ Sign up as a judge here.

➜ Sign up for the competition here.

➜ Sign up as a volunteer here.

➜ And ask any questions here.

Alright! So here are the sign ups for the swimsuit competition. Characters can vote for themselves and one in each category if they want. It will be categorized by age and gender.
Let me know if I missed anything or if you have questions!

A question that was asked: Can we vote with each different character or only once?
Answer: Yeah, feel free to log in as whoever and vote for who you think they would pick ICly.

Everyone feel disappointed that Aikuro isn't participating. Instead, he'll be there to make hamburgers in his speedo. Feel free to oogle him there.

YES HELLO, Fidgey here with some OOC information about a cook out / swimming party I want to lead since school is out for the summer!
I've been talking about this with a few other people and I think I should get the ball rolling with it before it gets too late!

So! Aikuro is having a cookout for absolutely everyone in celebration of summer on June 27th. We're making this happen later on in the month so it doesn't clash with June's event that is the 16th-26th, so immediately after a log will go up on Saturday, June 27th.

The cookout itself will take place on Kalmar's Resorts and Fishing which is on the locations page, so basically he rented out the entire resort to throw a party ( he likes throwing parties, it looks like....... ) I'm totally open for suggestions for things to do— like do some of you idols want to sing, do some of your sports want to play, do people want to bring food, etc, etc. Just use this post for plotting purposes!

You're also welcome to hit up Aikuro's inbox if you ICly want to make suggestions to him.

But, we have decided to let there be a swimsuit contest, so this post is also going to be used for OOC sign ups for that until next week, June 20th! OOC votes for the contest will take place the following week, June 21st - 26th with results posted OOCly on the 26th. So keep an eye on the OOC community.

SO, sign up here with your character's full name and age and I'll try to keep up with it.

~*~*COOKOUT ON DA LAKE!!!!*~*~
Everyone is invited! Instead of invitations being sent out, Aikuro & Kondo will have a network post up soon informing everyone.

EDIT: o yeah right... if you want to have another character sign your character up here, that's ok too!! you can sign up here for your character but then just let me know who actually signed them up.

HELLO! This is Jax making an announcement for the Student Council!

The Student Council has decided, in addition to the flowers/kissing booth that a Valentine's day dance will be held!

While the dance IS for students only, there's always need for chaperones and catering if your muse might need a reason to be attending a school dance despite not being a student.

Furthermore! Muses can vote for their "TRUE LOVE PRINCE AND PRINCESS!"

That's right! Just like during the Halloween dance, people can vote for the Prince and Princess of Valentine's day who will be given a very very cheesy heart-tiara and share a "True Love Dance."

The rules for nomination are simple: They must be a student at the school, or a recent student who attended within the past year. Furthermore, they don't have to be a couple!

The only exception to who can be nominated are the student body president: Makoto Tachibana and vice president: Snow White.

Nominations will be taken until this Friday and then actual voting will happen from Saturday until the 13th with the winners officially announced at the dance and given prizes! Suggestions for prizes are also welcome as well as for anyone who would like to comment on muses/businesses donating anything to the event.

If you have any questions, please just ask below! There will also be an IC announcement made! Also please feel free to use this post as a plotting post!

HELLO—!
We've been talking on plurk about putting together a little event in December-sort-of-end-of-the-semester shindig regarding highschool students! For those who don't know, Aikuro teaches all the sciences in the highschool. He likes to think outside the box a little now that he has the freedom of doing so here, AND SO— he's proposing taking students from 9th grade to 12th grade on a camping trip for a school assignment!

The assignment will be almost like a little scavenger hunt covering all sorts of material they have been studying about. Why? Cause he likes doing fun things when he can. He will assign different kinds of insects, plants, animals, minerals/rocks, constellations for each student to learn about. It should go something like this:

Insects: (5) insects. Require identification, samples (that means catching them), (2) written reports.
Plants:
(5) plants. Require identification, samples, and (2) written reports.
Animals
(3) animals. Require identification and (1) written report.
Minerals/Rocks:
(3). Require identification and (1) written report.
Constellation/star formations:
(3). Require identification and reports on all three (3).

He will emphasize that the weight of these reports will affect their overall report card.
None of the reports have to ICly be written and turned in, but you're welcome to do so by hitting up Aikuro's inbox with whatever you want.
I'm thinking about having him assign (3) characters to each tent to stay in, or having it completely roughin' it with no tents at all. What do you guys think?

But then! Maybe you're not somebody who plays a highschool character. That's okay! Spectators or chaperones who just want to go camping are also welcome to come along, though they may have to sit through his lecturing that he may give the students. It will not all just be learning learning learning; they will have downtime for some campfire and s'mores as long as they don't freeze their butts off.

The event will ICly last (3) days and (2) nights. As to when it will actually start, we are aiming for an early December event before things get busy with Christmas, etc.

There are still things to be fleshed out, so please, feel free to give feedback or ask questions!

➜ So as of today, all the physically male people of Holly Heights who have any muscular definition will be shirtless for a week. If you have any questions about stipulations in how your character would be affected, please ask!

➜ Today, your character will receive a notice that school will be in session tomorrow. Which also means it's time for student council members to be chosen. In order to see the stipulations, refer to the original post.

You will have until the 15th to OOCly put up your nominations. After that, IC voting will commence.

To nominate your character officially, please refer to the threads below!

➜ Also cookie effects ended today, hallelujah.

Okay so school will be getting out on the 13th and a school log will go up on the 1st. Some insider info for you.

But anyway, the reason I'm making this post is because Haine, as acting Student Council What-Does-She-Even-Do? person, she's taking it upon herself to make a book for everyone that's like a yearbook.

This post needs two things! IC cooperation and OOC cooperation!

ICly, she would need people to take pictures and stuff for the yearbook as well as collect quotes and everything, which she'll do some of this herself. It can be StuCo, random students, random adults, as long as they'd be into it since she's not really a roper. Concretely, she'll need at least two photographers, someone who can actually work a computer, and another person who'll go around asking questions about school and etc. You can of course make your own logs for this or a big joint one! I don't care. How will they even print this out and get it to people? Magic, spit, and prayers.

OOCly, the layout would be like a minimalist muselist code, separating people by grade (unless you're a teacher then you'll just be in that section) and in alphabetical order. It'd be put on the log comm and when it goes up, you make your own separate comment much like a meme. People can sign it like that, anonymously if they want, or you can log out a yearbook shenanigan. Multi-purpose!

Also, OOCly, the muselist coding would be icon based. So if you are a student or teacher please fill out the following form. If you don't then I'll just go down the list and pick whatever icon I want and I'll make it an ugly to spite you tbh.

There's a thread for interested parties but just reply to the entry with your little form!

Hello, Holly Heights! Wow, this is a busy OOC week in game.

Eski here. Obviously you guys have noticed that reserves are open and that means, applications will be opening soon too! With these things in mind, I'd like to ask for your input.

You guys might remember, this month I experimented with a Welcoming Party log. Thanks to everyone who helped make it a blast. It looks like it was pretty popular so I was wondering:

Do you want this to be a regular thing?

Please vote yes or no in the poll at the end of this post.

If yes, then the next log will go up 8 October around 10PM CST.

Since everyone has plenty of time to think about it, now, I would also like to ask if any of you have any feedback to offer. Could something be done differently? Would you like to see something else implemented into the log? I'd like to keep the discussion here but if you'd rather go anon (I don't know if anon is enabled here?) you can leave it at my contact post and I'll still address/consider it.

I've had some people ask me on plurk, I'll answer this here too. Some people asked me why we couldn't do the welcome log sooner rather than the day after apps close. The reason for this is that applications are accepted in waves here.

While we could post the log the day applications are accepted, the truth is, by the end of the week it won't be "new" anymore and people are likely to forget about it. People accepted later in the week would also have to backdate their arrivals on top of probably not getting as much attention for posting. I worked this out with Kiss and an initial group of people and we agreed it would be more fair to post the log the day after apps close, this way, even the people who had revision requests would be able to post into it at the same time. It isn't a perfect solution because obviously, that means waiting a week for the log for some people, but it's the best we could work out.

And lastly, I have two things I want to say.

First, remember to check out the Welcoming Committee if you're interested in helping. ICly, this means posting in the welcoming log. OOCly, it would just be sharing the link for the log when it goes up and encouraging people to post.

Second, this month was actually pretty busy for me! And it made me realize that I need a second or third person to help me in case similar circumstances ever happen again. This way, things can hopefully run smoothly even if I wasn't around to do it myself. In fact, I will probably need someone to post it for me in November!

Really, all you would have to do is post the log if I was unable to and communicate with people OOCly to let them know when the log would be posted. Unless something serious happened, I would be able to provide you with the text for the log so you wouldn't have to worry about that.

If you're interested, please send me a PM!

Hey guys, this is Keine-mun here.

As some of you might have already noticed, Keine is beginning to plan a summer festival, to be held later in August, somewhere around 3rd or 4th of August, on a weekend.

So, I'm just trying to gather more interest OOCly, and for open up an OOC volunteer signup in the case where would rather handwave your character expressing their interest in the matter.

Additionally, let's get a bit of planning done over here! Should this go down, we'll need people capable of setting up booths, a location for general mingling as well as (hopefully) a shrine or temple where there could be the more traditional practices going down as well.

Oh, for added reality after the IC festival planning is underway, we might be doing a RNG in order to decide if the event is postponed, ruined partially/entirely, or go smoothly throughout in the end, depending on the prevailing weather conditions. Maybe. We'll see.

So, anyone up for this?
