LOVE IS IN THE AIR

So, as you may have heard, there will indeed be a Valentine's festival happening on the 14th! Invitations will be sent out with specifics to all characters, free shit is promised, etc.

There will be booths; you can own a booth. There will also be a fancy restaurant area for your more romantic date ideas. But what's the draw?

Assigned to the festival will be several cupids, consisting of character's selected ICly via random lottery (determined by sign up OOCly.) A cupid has a list of job features, which include.

➜ Coupling. This activity is the cupid's main prerogative. Upon receiving the notice that your character will be cupid, they'll also discover their mission: pair two people together. This will be a randomized assortment from the Taken List and there will be several couples matched up in hopes of getting one that is actually there. The cupid has equipment in order to get this job done: bow, rubber suction arrows with matching designs and colours, fluffy handcuffs. Success in handcuffing together the designated couple, a cupid will receive 500 dollars and a sash.

➜ Five extra sets of handcuffs are given to cupids in order to make their own couplings. Each couple they handcuff together will net them 100 dollars.

➜ But what if they want to make a chain of people? Assume each person is $50. If a cupid wants to literally handcuff together a love triangle, that's $150.

➜ Cupids also are given a small vial of honesty serum. For those pesky jitters that won't let you tell your soon-to-be (hopefully) special someone how you feel, this is Love Potion No. 9....or it can go horribly wrong, it's up to you.

The booths and concrete location details will be more detailed on the log for the festival. The amount of cupids will be no more than five or however many sign up. If more than 5 sign up, the cupids will be randomized and revealed on the log.

REMEMBER THAT YOUR CHARACTER WOULD HAVE TO ACCEPT DOING THIS so don't sign up a character that would say no, unless you're willing to still participate them in some kind of tom-foolery. If you want to sign up, simply comment here!

OKAY SO Rabid here, alerting everyone to a micro-mini-event that has been happening at Moe Moe Funtime Haven this month! Since the Woe Woe normal-sized-mini-event is already happening, we're figuring that the best way to settle this is with a good ol' fashioned OOC post. (This one, actually.)

Basically, the cafe is hosting a ~*~CUTEST COUPLES COSTUME CONTEST~*~ all month -- if your characters have come into the cafe at any time dressed with a very special friend in couples' costumes, they get a free photoshoot and to eat free that visit, and they're automatically entered into the contest! (NOTE: This also counts for characters Minako/the employees of Moe Moe only think are in couples' costumes, but aren't actually. It also counts if one character has forced another character to do couples costumes with them for the free food. How corrupt!)

In this post, comment with pictures of you and your partner's costumes, and maybe tell us a little bit about the circumstances of their entering into the contest (or if they don't even know they're in the contest in the first place). In this post, each couple will be given a special limited edition Moe Moe comment card along with a score from each of our three, American Idol-style judges. ICly, they'll have received these cards in their houses' mailboxes.

tl;dr all the action is happening here roll up roll up and embarrass eachother in the spirit of the spooky season! The GRAND PRIZE will be a super duper private date night at Moe Moe's after closing, with two personal chefs, Very Romantic Decor, and a really good mix tape playing in the background!

(Lame prize, we know. Minako blew all their money on security cams to make sure nobody steals the new animatronics just installed at Woe Woe's. **Moe Moe's. Anyway, there's definitely nothing wrong with that.)

HAVE AT

EDIT: I ALMOST FORGOT this event is running both ICly and OOCly from October 1st to October 30th! (Pretend I put this up like a million years ago basically)

OPERATION: STUCO BOOGALOO

This January marks the beginning of the first official Holly Heights student council! In order to procure the spots, nominations will be put in now, campaigning will last for the whole of winter break, but voting will commence on the 1st of January. That's a pretty cliff note version, so let's get into the details.

➜ To start off, these are the positions that will be up for grabs:
The President who will lead all meetings, be a model student (hopefully), facilitate disagreements, plan school events & activities.

The VP who will work closely with the president, assume their duties when needed, work with other members of the student council and oversee them, and assist in managing agendas.

The Treasurer who will manage donated funds and receive a stipend of $2,000 from the Landlord each month for the schools, maintain a record of all funds going in and out, and authorize them when necessary. Also has budget power.

The Secretary will keep meeting minutes, attendance, maintain files and records, have all the contact information for other StuCo members, any other appropriate tasks.

The PR Director will control public relations and will be responsible for advertising any StuCo events, get approval for the events from both the President and the Landlord, and communicate with all 4 schools.

Three miscellaneous positions that may change with each election. These can be for ridiculous things like "The Official Student Council Sushi Chef" or more sensible ones like "The Student Council Bodyguard". Any role can be signed up for, but the three students with the most votes win.

➜ Those who can sign up are anyone who will be 17 and below come January. It does not matter what school they are in.

➜ A notice will be sent out to all students on the 16th with a write in nomination system. So upon receiving this letter, they must write down their name and who they are applying for. Nominating others will result in a void nomination. During Winter break (from Dec. 16 ➜ Jan. 6 ) they may campaign and whoop and holler to try to secure their votes. OOCly all you have to do is click the appropriate title above and sign your character up by simply replying with their name and username; for the Misc. category a title must also be included.

January 1st mail in ballots will be sent out. Your student characters (who are the only ones who may vote) will send them back with their votes to be counted. OOCly this will just be a community poll. The official selection will be posted on the 6th.

➜ As always of course, questions go here!
