The Kid
10 January 2013 @ 11:30 am
So I kind of derped and didn't get to this right away. But as I'm setting up, I'mma introduce myself. My name's Tav and this is Bastion's very own The Kid, an alcoholic workhorse with all the subtlety and grace of a hippo. He's going to be living at 1448 in the spouse slot to leave a lot of bottles and junk laying around.

Anyhow, I can be reached over at my plurk [plurk.com profile] theamazingyflyingcat. That's pretty much it. Nice to meet you all!

Hello everyone, this is Lucy and I'm bringing in two new characters!

The first is Itachi Uchiha from the Naruto series. He's Sasuke's wonderful older brother who's spent his life passing as a murderer! He's got a temper but nothing too insane. He's been given the spouse slot for 1407. The good thing about Itachi is despite how easily he can kill you, he secretly likes taking care of things.

The second is Haytham Kenway from the Assassin's Creed series! He's a gentleman, a murderer, and really old fashioned. He's been given the spouse slot in 1438 so I hope you guys have fun with him!

If anyone wants to plot, you can always hit me up on my AIM: divinascomedias.

Thank you for your time!

Your New Landlord
10 January 2013 @ 07:36 pm
THIS MEANS WAR

This event is going to take a lot of Landlord magic so you better be happy.

The event is pretty simple in theory but a little more complicated in mechanics. Simply put it's a snowball war

for your life.

Not really, sort of, but here's how it works:

➜ There will be four teams taking part in this snowball war. To find out which team your character is on, please consult the taken list! Next to their name should be a star of red, yellow, green, or blue. If a player would like to switch their star they may do so here but this is only if they have more than one character on the same team (for example, a person with 4 characters has 3 characters on red and one on yellow, they may get two of their red characters switched on a randomized basis).

➜ Starting on the 14th, there will be 6 battles played in a versus like fashion. To ensure you have a chance to tag everyone and anyone you would like, each team will play each time. Every two days a new battle will begin, meaning that the battle will take place on the 14th, 15th is an off day, then another one will happen on the 16th.

The scheduled battles are as such:
14th: Yellow vs. Blue
16th: Red vs. Yellow
18th: Red vs. Green
20th: Yellow vs. Green
22nd: Blue vs. Green
24th: Red vs. Blue

➜ But how does this all go down? On the day of the 14th, everyone will be transported to this mysterious, high walled stadium. Never seen it before? Don't worry, no one has. It includes spectator stands and a large field, about the size of an American football field. On the field will be the characters assigned certain stars, and everyone else will be in the stands. For instance, on the 16th, red characters and yellow characters will be on the ground and blue and green characters will be in the stands observing. One side of the field will have red standing banners (in this example) and the other will have yellow. Littered on the snow covered ground are large and small snow walls to hide behind and to prepare your balls (rimshot.mp3).

➜ ICly the rules are as such: it's pretty much like dodgeball. Once the playing characters have been transported to the field, they will be magically adorned with an armband of their teams colour. Once they have been hit with a snow ball, their armband will disappear, meaning they are hit. Once an entire team loses all of their armbands, they lose, and the other team is the winner. This really doesn't matter too much considering the winner of the game will be randomized on the day the log is put up, so it's perfectly reasonable to not want to play your badass, snowball champion character losing to some wimpy person that can't even throw straight in a thread, and just because your team is "chosen" to lose doesn't mean you need to not be IC in this matter. You can just pretend a stray snowball hit their shin and they were out or something. Just have fun with it and don't give the winnings too much mind.

➜ If you wouldn't like your character to participate, either as a team member or an observer, there are stairs located at the ends of the stadium, just like most, which lead to a large door. Once opening this door, the character will walk into their living room. Basically, it's like a portal that emulates their front door.

➜ The incentive to win will be placed on a plaque on either side of the stadium, written very plainly: Win the tournament for a ticket home. written largely and with the above rules written out. We as players of course know this is either a trick or impossible, but characters might not catch on so quickly. The winner of the tournament will be randomly decided BUT don't let that get you down! All teams will get consolation prizes, which may or may not be better than the actual grand prize. Those will be revealed on a post on the 26th.

➜ For right now, feel free to converse among yourself about this butthere will be two threads below to make sure that this is as realistic and inclusive oocly and icly as possible: each team will have a thread in which four team captains can volunteer on a first come first serve basis. Another thread will be for choosing a team name. Simply suggest a name for your team and the name with the most plus ones will be chosen to represent your team. If it's a tie or there's no plus ones, it will just be randomly decided.

➜ Game wise, there will be one large log post for this whole event, with subthreads for each versus battle. In the comment will include Blank vs Blank and who has been selected to win. These threads can be for team interactions, open ended Tag me! threads, team member against team member interactions, or even interactions in the stands. Have fun with it, there's no limit to what you can do!

➜ As another note, the first couple of times might be a little confusing to characters, but after they get the jist, feel free to make team filtered posts to strategize, agree on team outfits/uniforms, etc. if you'd like to get really into it. Also, if you'd like not to participate, feel free to just go about posting as usual.

➜ As per usual, all questions can be made here! since i feel like i wrote this a little confusingly and might have left something out
