Your New Landlord

A STICKY SITUATION

This event will be a team event and will involve unlocking certain privileges/punishments for both characters and the game at large.

➜ First of all, this event will also involve one of the most innocent things in existence: stickers. A sheet of star stickers will be sent out to each person, though unlike the stickers in the picture, they'll look a bit different. 12 of these stickers will be glittering gold ones, boing except for their sheen and colour. The remaining star stickers are red, blue, green, and yellow; one of each. Each sticker means something different that can be unlocked. More on that later.

➜ There are two parts to this event: the team event and the unlocking event:
TEAM EVENT: The team event is a simple "whichever team gives out the most stickers wins" type of event. The coloured stickers do not count towards this, only the 12 gold ones. This will be known by your characters with the letter that comes attached to the stickers, as well as the team that gives out the most stickers will win a special prize.

Unlike other team events though, to make the game more neutral, who your teammates are will not be known. By the characters, anyway. As with the snowball war event, coloured stars will go up on the taken list to represent your teams (again, red, blue, yellow, green).

UNLOCKING EVENT: For each of the coloured stars, something that can be unlocked is represented. The four things are:
  • Viruses/Illness finally being available in Holly Heights.
  • A landlord post detailing more mechanics of the world. (This wouldn't be vague, comment related details. More like an actual explanation post.)
  • The unlocking of a new, luxurious specialty location.
  • A variety of different, possibly dangerous animals will be added to the animals usually found on the beach/in the woods.
Each of the above corresponds to a certain colour (ie illness to the yellow star) but...it's unknown to anyone which star corresponds to which thing. Also, what the things are in general. All your character will know is...nothing. Those who are a little more intuitive might figure there's something too the different coloured stars. But otherwise, everyone will be clueless.

Basically, all that your character will know at the end of the day is give stars = something happens.

  • ➜ For the special unlockable things to well, be unlocked, 30 stars of the corresponding colour must be given. In order to judge this and also which team has given how many stars, there will be a post where you will have to fill out a form to prove your star giving. Not for all 16 stars, of course! Gold stars can be assumed and you are not expected to legitimately have 16 threads where star giving comes to fruition. You must, though, have proof or assumed proof that your coloured stars were given. By assumed proof, I mean that since some of us are slowpokes or may not be here and have time to thread out the whole exchange, it's alright to post your thread where it will be given. All I ask is that one day, your star be given. The form for this will basically be like this:
    Character | Username
    Team Colour:
    Gold Stars: #
    RED:
    YELLOW:
    GREEN:
    BLUE:

If you don't want to or just don't give out all the stars especially the coloured ones, then leave that part blank.

➜ Also provided on the letter characters will receive with their stickers, it will say that if they give themselves stars, the stars will not count towards their team's score. If they want to anyway, then that's fine. Just know you're hurting your team! Though since no one knows their team, then it might not matter too much in the end!

➜ As per usual, please leave questions here! Stickers will be handed out on the 18th (the teams will be put up then, too) and the event will officially end on the 29th. On the 31st, the numbers will be tallied for both parts of the event. On the 1st of August, it will be revealed who won the team challenge, which stars corresponded to which unlockable event, and which of those were successfully unlocked.
