I think this has been a long time coming. I really enjoy this game, but I think I need a break from game RP. I'll be dropping Austria.

I'm sorry if anyone was counting on the opera productions Austria was planning - admittedly, I jumped on the opportunity for Austria to run the opera house because I thought it was an easy way to get back into the swing of things and have an active part in the game. However there were some game mechanics that I hadn't considered, and it turned out to be much more of an organization/research investment than I'd thought at first. Not having any NPC singers would require finding compositions with cast lists that EXACTLY suit whatever pool of people auditioned. And while Austria would probably compose something himself as a tailor-made alternative, I'd hypothetically want to put more effort into coming up with a plotline and something for other players to work with than just handwaving "he wrote something and a bunch of people sang it." But after some thought, I've realized that just takes more creative energy than I realistically have right now.

With my last-ditch effort to reach out and be a more active player in this game looking less practical than I'd thought, it looks like staying here is going to be more trouble than it's worth for the time being. I don't want to hiatus indefinitely. This is a fantastic game and I TRULY hope to be back when I'm refreshed, but I can't keep making promises I'm not sure I can keep. I love all of the CR I've had with you guys, and I'm open to discussing PSLs or memes. It's been a great year.
