Hey guys!!! So we have just a little over a month until Katsucon (who else doesn't have their costumes ready lol) and a lot of people seemed interested in getting together for a Holly Heights dinner!

I'm told a month isn't too early for a reservation, so I'd like to get that done as soon as possible. So please let me know if you're interested and what times/days don't work for you and what times/days you'd prefer to have the dinner (or lunch tbh).

The reservation will be made at National Pastime Sports Bar & Grill which is located on the Atrium floor of the Gaylord hotel (where Katsucon is held). So no one will have to brave the cold or risk getting their wig tangled in the crazy winds that always happen in that area.

And if you're bringing a friend or two, please note that too so I can get an accurate headcount of who all will be there! Thanks!

NEW YEARS FOURTH WALL EVENT

So if you check the main comm, there was just a job survey put up in regards to a little new years shindig going on on December 31st. This will be where 4th wall takes place. During the party, an odd thing happens. It appears that some uninvited guests have shown up...maybe they're familiar to you, maybe they aren't.

For 4th wall participants, you'll be randomly dropped off inside the Landlord's house at midnight, in the specific location the big party is taking place in. The doors are locked; you're stuck until you somehow dissipate from existence in this reality. You have about six hours of time before you're sent back home. Don't worry. There will be lots to do, drink, and eat. So get comfortable.

More concrete details will be put on the actual post, put up on the night of New Years Eve and can include forward dating to midnight, Jan. 1st 2016. Use this post for 4th wall plans and offerings!

ACTIVITY CHECK ➜ DECEMBER

Activity Check will run through the last week of December. Activity can be from November 24th through December 31st. Please use activity posted before this week unless you are stretched and must use a proof from reserve week.

SOME NOTES ON AC
Here are a couple of not so crystal clear rules about what is and is not activity. It's never been strictly laid out like this before since it seems a little obvious, but just in case, here's what does and doesn't qualify for AC / tag count starting this AC:

➜ If you used a thread or post in a previous AC you may not use that thread/post again. In short terms, if I've seen it before, I do not want to see it again. Even if you tagged a post 100 more times, I want to see new proofs of activity. Not an old one with new stuff added on.

➜ With open logs, you may use more than one thread from the same log but they must have different characters in them. For example, from our recent island log, you may use an Island 08 thread and an Island 12 thread to make or combine for AC, but if in both threads you're threading with the same character, you can only choose one.

➜ Do not alter the form you are given to post AC with. This makes it so much easier for me to go through and for others/yourself if you need to reference them.

➜ Forms now have a place for a comment count. Please do not leave these off. Please use these to do the math for yourself. If you have a comment count of 3 and a comment count of 4 for post threads, these do not add up to 10 thus they do not count.

➜ Finally comment spams will only count for one comment. This is an example of what I mean. Kanata would only have one comment AC wise here even though he made five different comments.

Please provide one (1) proof of activity in one the following forms:

➜ A post either on the network or the log community. A post counts if you have put it up and replied to comments on it as of when you post it. Please do not use a post with no replies from you as proof.

➜ Network post comments equaling to 10. It can be a thread with 10 comments from you, three threads with 3+3+4 comments from you. Enough to equal 10.

➜ Log post comments equaling to 5. It can be a thread with 5 comments from you, two threads with 3+2 comments from you, etc. Enough to equal 5.

➜ Mailbox post comments equaling to 15. It can be a thread with 15 comments from you, two threads with 9+6 comments from you, etc. Enough to equal 15.

You are exempt from the activity check if you:

➜ Posted any hiatus during November 24th through December 31st that lasted a week or more. There isn't a need to comment here if so, but if you'd like to pop in and say something OR if you have enough to post to AC anyway, feel free. Also, if you discuss a hiatus with me personally, it always helps to post it somewhere anyways just so I don't overlook it.

➜ Post with a strike. Simply reply with the form but instead of dates and links, put STRIKE. This is for those that wish to continue playing but don't have enough activity to make it this month. If you ask for a strike the next month, you will be removed from the game. If you make AC the next month, then your strike will be negated. If you take a strike and then hiatus the next month, your strike will roll over with you whenever you are next active.

Please do not post AC for others without their express permission. If someone would like to idle out by not responding to the AC, then that is their own business, and not the place of others to show activity for them.

Do not post activity until it is complete. You have a week to complete activity, so don't dilly dally! Please fill out the following form for each character you have. Feel free to put multiple characters in one comment. You have until the beginning of the new month to post, then you will be removed from the game. There will be no exceptions.

NEW Because the game is not as big as it used to be and has slowed down in speed and character turnover, we'll be doing an AC for a while that only requires one proof. Based on the ability to complete this and if the game's temperature changes, this may be edited but for now it will remain one proof of AC for everyone. This goes for everyone.

player plot!!

HELLO EVERYONE, so for this holiday season Rin is gonna be receiving the gift of the Monkey's Paw/Rainy Devil!! Because she was already starting to have a bad time so obviously it needed to be made worse.

Essentially she's gonna go berserk and attack some people for a night or few. I know in Bakemonogatari the whole deal is that the attacks are triggered by hateful and resentful feelings, but since Rin is too much of a weenie to really dislike anyone I figured it'd be easier to just have the victims be random. But hey, if we can hash out a plausible reason for Rin to have any sort of negative feelings towards any of them, even better.

So!! I'm asking for ~~a maximum of 5 people who Rin can attack (i can also bump it up some if more people want in)~~ the slots filled faster than i expected so i'm upping the limit!!

We can discuss the extent of their injuries and they don't have to have CR with Rin beforehand either. I know I'm probably skimping out on a bunch of the details but just shoot me any questions here. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

HAPPY HOLLY-DAYS

➜ Who wants their Christmas presents early?

➜ Everyone has the ability to get their Christmas wishes granted early this year by receiving three free presents from the landlord. What do you lucky ladies and losers have up for grabs this year? Let's find out:

➜ Red ribbon gifts are mistletoe boxes. Gift recipients will have a floating sprig of mistletoe above their heads for the remainder of the event. All others will be compelled to smooch them, though the type is of course up to you. From chaste pecks to all out tongue assaults, it's time to pucker up.

➜ Blue ribbon gift recipients will receive an "I Came to Holly Heights And All I Got Was This Ugly Christmas Sweater" sweater. Comes in baby puke green, pepto bismal pink, and urine yellow.

➜ Yellow ribbon gift recipients will be getting a winter companion. This creature can be as cute and simple as a Christmas puppy or as devious and dastardly as a intestinal parasite. Canon-specific creatures are acceptable IF the creature if from that specific character's canon. Otherwise, creatures of myth and legend are also appropriate ie dragons, wyverns, etc. Just no one gets a Pokemon or something, okay?

➜ Green ribbon gift recipients will be getting a receipt for $5,000. Money is always the best Christmas present.

➜ Pink ribbon gift recipients will have the opportunity to be status affected. The catch is YOU get to pick what status effect they get. Is it blindness? The ability to see people as items of food? An eternal sickness? Feel free to get creative and we'll negotiate if you go too overboard.

➜ Purple ribbon gift recipients will receive a brand new Vespa. Hope you can drive!

➜ Special Blue box recipients are given a togetherness package. This can include food, items, and other accessories for a great date night, friend hangout, or other family event. Contains enough for 2 to 4 people. Your creativity dictates specific contents.

➜ Special Yellow box recipients are given a box of replenishing sweets that will last for three months.

➜ Special Pink box recipients are given an ability of their choice for two months. Again, we'll negotiate extremes.

➜Each resident of Holly Heights is eligible to receive three gifts that are randomized and sent to them. In order to receive your free gifts, all you have to do is comment to this post and you'll have yours! If your gift requires discussion (ie the status effect gifts) then you'll be prompted to talk about it in a response. You may opt out of receiving one (1) type of box; state which kind in your comment.

➜The way I'm going to set up randomization allows for both multiples of boxes to be given out AND only a few of the special boxes. If you get one of those, you're lucky!

➜Secret Santa information will be out tomorrow! As always, questions about the event go here.

➜This event starts on the 16th and ends after the 26th!

mini player event: snow mayhem

Snow has now fallen in Holly Heights! And you know what that means?

Tis the season for winter pranks. 8)

Nishinoya and Tanaka are kind of bored and have decided to have a bit of fun between themselves, and we need your help with making people miserable!

What is needed is 4 household volunteers. If you're in the Haikyuu!! cast and want your house pranked then your request won't take up a slot! However I'm going to put the house limit to maximum of 8. If you're interested then comment here with your house number, pick a day and mention anything specific you'd like to happen to your house. If you can't think of anything, all they'll do is cover up your front door with snow.

Helpful notes: Nishinoya and Tanaka won't damage anything and won't go into any of the houses. All their pranks will be limited to anything they can do with the snow outdoors. Also, all pranks will be handwaved, though you're welcome to make your own reaction posts and threads for your household.

Pranks will begin on Friday, December 11th and their rampage will be over on Tuesday, December 15th when Takeda and Ukai catch them.

SPORTS SPORTS SPORTS rabble rabble rabble

HELLO HOLLY HEIGHTS!! Rabid here, player of Sharky McFeelings Jr, bringing you more ~SPORT NEWS~ as always. So, at the Holly Heights Sports Centre there's a physical notice board, which is open for all members to post anything they want. I'm finding that this mostly only works in retroactive practice/when I do things with it, so I was thinking I might start collecting announcements/complaints/challenges/lonely jock craigs listings/try out notices/event postings/etc to be relayed maybe every other month by one of the sports centre coordinators (Rin, Makishima, whoever is dumb enough to work for them, etc). Basically, they want to clear off the messy board by airing everything One Last Time on the network.

This would be a kind of open forum post, and I encourage anything and everything from WHOEVER IS LEAVING HAIR ALL OVER THE SHOWERS YOU'RE FILTH to come try out for track! contact info @ the topless girl to offerings for training partners. Air your grievances with your rival for everyone to see. Ask for the number of that girl in lime green that you saw in the weight room last week. Accuse someone of cheating. Ask if anyone's seen your embarrassing mp3 player with nothing but One Direction and One Direction covers on it. Complain that the management isn't cleaning the yoga mats. Post the word PENIS as a dare. Go for it! The world is your oyster or sweaty locker room, whatever.

Non-members would of course be encouraged to interact on the post, but I'll only be accepting "postings" from HHSC members. You don't have to have officially be on the list to submit, but it would certainly help me organizing what's what. I would also ask that you keep messages relatively brief, just like posts on a physical notice board would be. Immersion.

tl;dr I think this would be a good way for Sports Meeting Sports outside of their own teams and activities, and to bring in new CR from outside the HHSC! And also to figure out who's leaving all that hair in the showers.

Comments are screened for fun surprises! They can be ICly anonymous, signed, sealed with a kiss, whatever. Go forth!

He guys! Thallia again with another obscure sports character. This time I'll be bringing in Risa Miyakozawa from the series 'Koukou Kyuuji Zawa-san'. She usually goes by Zawa, and she loves baseball, muscle training, her abs & biceps, protein shakes and the feel of a freshly buzzed haircut. She also plays for her school's baseball team. The boys team that is. She's an extraordinarily talented pitcher and shortstop who has two middle school tournament championships under her belt and who is currently restricted to practice games only as high school rules say girls can't play in official games.

It is her greatest wish is to one day see these rules change so she can finally play with her friends and teammates in the real deal. Outside of games she's a quiet (but not shy) girl who's kind of socially awkward and occasionally unintentionally intimidating and intense. Please treat her well! She'll be living at house 1421.

hello hello hello! my name is aaya and i am new to this holliest of heights! i am bringing this very speedy young man by the name of kenya oshitari (from the prince of tennis) to 1476, with genos and yachi! BLOND HOUSE.

kenya is the kind of dude who gets along easily with everyone, provided you can keep up with his habit of doing everything super quickly. once upon a time he trained in the mountains and literally ran over water. he is also shiraishis teammate! however they are from different points in canon which will provide ~hilarious confusion~.

He's basically their not!manager #2 since Chris is clearly #1, upgraded with cute and downgraded with terrible hair. (They needed to balance it out.)

Hello again, Holly Heights! I ... am Frika. You may know me from muses like Aone the Haikyuu-ball player, Naruko the biking tiger, Ratio the pirate doctor, and Killua the marshmallow assassin. You might also remember me playing Rinko Yamato, shoujo personified, for a little while. Well, I have let Rinko go home and instead I am bringing in a BASEBALL!!!

Yes, you read right. This is a baseball character! Not a basketball, as the gif might suggest. Though he doesn't play baseball and does play basketball... Hmmm...

ANYWAY! This is Yoshirou Hamada from the bird baseball series Big Windup! (You know, with the redheaded bird who looks a lot like another redheaded bird from a different sports series!) He used to play baseball, but pitched too much and wound up getting Little League Elbow, meaning that his elbow is messed up because his growth in that arm was stunted from overuse. :c BUT! He still loves baseball and he still loves his childhood friend Mihashi, so he set up a cheer squad for his school's baseball team! That's dedication right there.

He's pretty dumb and silly, but also a master of crazy optimism, so I'm sure he'll be happy to make lots of friends here! He'll be staying at house 1475. And, as always, if you'd like to add me on plurk, please feel free to go ahead! I'm at

Hello! I'm Haru and I'm new -- kinda. I played here once upon a time like a year or two ago as other characters and was talked into coming back.

I'm bringing 1500 an adult, Sagaru Yamazaki, from Gintama! He is part of the Shinsengumi and works as a spy and does undercover things, while also loving badminton so much that he plays it while on the job. He's a REAL PROFESSIONAL COP okay yes. Apologies in advance for any mountains of anpan that may happen, bahaha!!

Aw shit!! Hello again, Holly Heights! Nat here, who used to play Onoda and Roxas here once upon a time. For those of you I've never met before, hello and it's nice to meet you! For those of you that know me, scram!!! There's a big chance you're a loser idiot fool.

I'm here bringing back Onoda Sakamichi from Yowamushi Pedal! For those in the know, he'll be taken from right after the last episode of Grande Road, which is chapter 233 of the manga. He'll have finished the 41st Inter-High and taken Sohoku to Akiba!

For those of you who don't know, he's a tiny anime-loving mama's boy with a heart of gold. He loves his friends, climbing hills on his bike, and mahou shojo. Unless you're racing with him, he is Prime Friend Material and also Prime Picking-On Material, depending on your character. I expect all kinds of CR from this game !!

He'll be housed in 1456 with Toudou, Makishima, and Nico. Feel free to plot with me about anything you'd like to do with him here or through PM! Or we can just be friends and talk about cool things like Osomatsu-san... Thanks for having me!

This is Ellome I'm also a small-time baseball Hideaki Toujou from Daiya no A/Ace of the Diamond over in #1500 but this time I'm here with a cyborg teenager who for the intents and purposes of Holly Heights is no longer any part robotic.

(But he'll still probably keep the no sleeves. Someone get that boy a coat.)

For ease he looks mostly the same, just no sclera or robot arms so there's not really anything to know or remember there!!
